Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the Troupe located?
The Troupe has 2 class locations in Lancaster, PA and Parkville, MD.
How many dancers will participate?
We typically have 30-40 dancers and musicians depending on the type of performance and venue.
What level of dancing should we expect?
Our Performance Troupe has a wide range of levels and ages. Our performances are primarily champion level dancers; however, we have several numbers featuring our younger, newer dancers. Quite a few of our talented dancers and musicians are top dancers / musicians in the world for their age (i.e. qualifying and placing in the Irish Dance World Championship or the Traditional Irish Music World Championship.) Many others are National qualifiers and regional qualifiers. Our dancers have competed all over the United States as well as in Canada, Ireland and England.
How much does it cost?
30 minutes $500
60 minutes $1000
90 minutes $1500
Please note that all payments should be made to the non-profit organization, "Paloma Booster Club." The Paloma Booster Club is a registered 501(c)3 and your payment will go to cover the costs of the show as well as to wonderful programs that support the troupe (costuming, choreography, workshops, etc.)
What type of flooring and sound system do we need?
We prefer elevated wood floors to dance on; however, we have liners we can lay down over ceramic tile, finished wood, etc... to prevent damage to the floor and to prevent the dancers from slipping. We also have a small, portable floor that can be used if necessary. We bring our own sound system but can plug our iPod in to an existing sound system if one is available.
Does your troupe require a dressing room?
Yes! We will need 2 dressing room areas (one for the ladies and one for the gents). We do several costume changes throughout the performance so dressing rooms will need to be in close proximity to the stage. Dressing rooms must be able to fit about 10-15 dancers in each room. If you do not have dressing rooms available, we have portable dressing rooms that we can bring but we will need a ceiling clearance of 9 feet in order to use them. We bring our own portable clothing racks and mirrors.
Who should I contact about performances?
